Examples

An example landing page + checkout flow generating ~$3k/month in revenue (0.9 ROAS) for Proper Youth: barely.page/properyouth/rusty-free

CDs

  • CDs w/ Jackets: atomicdisc.com (use code BARELY for 10% off first order)

Apparel

Sizing

A good starting point for shirt & hoodie size distributions:

  • S: 10%
  • M: 24%
  • L: 32%
  • XL: 24%
  • XXL: 10%

I've found that in-person (gig) sales trend more towards S & M, whereas online cart sales trend more towards XL & XXL. You'll get an idea after the first 100 sales what your specific distribution looks like.

Blanks

  • Gildan Hammer tees are a medium-quality option (~$5/blank shirt @100 units)
  • Comfort Colors tees are a good option on the higher quality end (~$7/blank shirt @100 units)

Pricing

When possible, I recommend working with a local screen printer. For reference, my own band was recently able to get a run of 100 Comfort Colors single-color prints for $12/shirt (Bushwick Print Lab).

Fulfillment

Labels

For fulfilling up to a few hundred units/week, I've used the following to really speed up shipping:

Mailers

  • CD Mailers: CD mailers on Amazon
  • For orders with t-shirts, to start with, I'd keep any Amazon/other retail packaging and re-use it. When you're outpacing existing packaging on hand, something like these poly mailers work well.
